Casablanca to Roll Out 700 New High-Tech Buses in January 2021

Casablanca will receive its 700 buses in January 2021 to meet the city’s public transportation needs.
As promised at the signing of the contract with Alsa, the deployment of the fleet of 700 new buses, jointly financed by the Intercommunal Cooperation Establishment (ECI) and Alsa, should take place in early January 2021, a source told Médias24, specifying that the buses at the Irizar plant in Skhirat have already been produced.
The number of these buses is 200. Assembled on Scania chassis, these 12-meter-long vehicles with a capacity of 33 seats incorporate the latest technology in terms of safety, comfort and accessibility. They will be delivered before the end of December 2020.
"Also, a good part of the buses manufactured by Auto Nejma (Mercedes Benz Morocco) has already been produced," the same source said. Alsa has ordered 500 buses (420 12-meter and 80 articulated) from this vehicle importer.
