Casablanca: a public land classified as "green space" stolen by a private company

The revelation took the assembly by surprise. No one seems to know how this public property could have changed hands, or who authorized this mutation. Mostafa Haiker, from the Istiqlal Party, expressed his astonishment at this audacity, recalling the directives of the Ministry of the Interior on the protection of land heritage. He questioned the governing body on the moralisation of public life, while accusations are directly aimed at the current management.

A member of the PJD (Justice and Development Party) followed up by calling for the immediate intervention of the justice system, stressing that "documents do not move on their own". For his part, Mustapha Mandour (PPS) demanded that the file be transmitted to the Public Prosecutor’s Office on suspicion of misappropriation of public funds, demanding to know the identity of the signatories of this authentic act.

Implicated, Houcine Nasrallah, the deputy mayor in charge of municipal property, reacted vehemently. He denied any involvement of the current team, claiming to have received no document justifying this transfer.

Adopting an offensive tone, he promised to recover the land: "Any person who has usurped a square meter of the municipality’s property will return it." He also attacked his detractors, saying that "some are making false accusations because their interests have been affected", before describing certain actors as "brutes and scoundrels of politics".
