Casablanca Police Seize Suspicious Olive Oil Sold for 1 Dirham, Launch Investigation

One dirham per sachet! This is the price at which two merchants arrested in Casablanca were selling the olive oil deemed suspicious by the Judicial Police. An investigation is underway to determine the quality of this oil sold at a derisory price.
What is the nature and origin of this oil sold at one dirham per sachet? Pending further information, the two merchants have been taken into custody. In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) specifies that this arrest was possible thanks to information widely shared on social networks, to denounce the marketing of a suspicious olive oil.
For the moment, 2,200 small plastic sachets containing this olive oil, which would be unfit for consumption, were found in a food products warehouse, and did not have a sales authorization on the markets, granted by the National Office of Sanitary Safety of Food Products (Onssa).
According to the DGSN, analyzes are underway to verify the expiration date of the olive oil, as well as its degree of harmfulness.
