Casablanca Paralyzed as M’dina Bus Drivers Launch Surprise Strike

Caught off guard on the morning of Wednesday, August 7, 2019, by a strike of M’dina Bus drivers, Casablancans no longer know which way to turn, especially given the deficit that already prevailed compared to the large taxis.
Since the morning of Wednesday, August 7, 2019, in Casablanca, it is practically impossible for a large part of the population, used to this means of transport, to make their movements. The citizens of the metropolis find themselves facing a rather unexpected situation: a strike by M’dina Bus drivers.
As a result, the populations found themselves without a means of transport on Wednesday morning, especially in high-density areas, such as Aïn Chock or Sidi Bernoussi, following this movement of the drivers, reports Challenge.
The height, notes the media, is that "the large taxi stations were filled with citizens looking for a means of transport". Unfortunately, "they were met by drivers who refused to take them to the city center due to the very high demand for transport to that destination, which caused several traffic jams".
The inconveniences that could result from this situation will be enormous and, above all, detrimental to the economy. Indeed, several workers, as well as merchants, waited for several hours for a means of transport to take them to their workplaces, located in the city center, but in vain!
