Casablanca Officials Overhaul Troubled Tit Mellil Social Center Amid Scandals

Saïd Ahmidouch, Wali of Casablanca, is now managing the "Dar El Kheir" Social Center in Tit Mellil, through the creation of an external audit commission, a joint commission and the appointment of a new management association.
The "Dar El Kheir" Social Center in Tit Mellil is waking up after years of lethargy. According to TelQuel, its problems can be summed up in several factors: laxity of its leaders, dysfunctions in all directions and an increase in the number of deaths of its beneficiaries. Faced with this gloomy picture, Saïd Ahmidouch, Wali of Casablanca, intends to work for its recovery.
"The Wali takes to heart the situation of the Center with a strong determination to change the dramatic situation of its beneficiaries," said Abdellatif Achak, Director of Administrative Affairs and Human Development of the Casablanca-Settat region.
On the instructions of the Ministry of the Interior, a commission from the General Inspectorate of Territorial Administrations (IGAT) is at the Center as part of an external audit mission at the request of the Wilaya of Casablanca. Its objective is to discover the current management mode of the Center and to establish an action plan for the future, in order to avoid the various problems.
