Casablanca’s Mohammed V Stadium Closes for Month-Long Renovations

The stadium of the Mohammed V sports complex in Casablanca is closing its doors throughout the month of October due to work to improve the condition of the pitch and other parts of the complex.
WAC supporters had expressed their great discontent with the state of the stadium, especially since it had been closed on numerous occasions without much change, reports Challenge. The state of the press room, which shows a glaring lack of facilities that would allow journalists to work properly, had also been criticized.
These criticisms seem to have received a favorable echo from the authorities, who have ordered the renovation work, which is taking place at a time when the two Casablanca teams are competing in three competitions, namely the national professional championship, the African Champions League and the Mohammed VI Cup of clubs.
Raja and Wydad of Casablanca will be forced to find a stadium to host their next match, as the work is scheduled to last throughout the month of October.
