Casablanca’s Largest Mall Closes Amid Coronavirus, Essential Services Remain Open

Faced with the effects of the Coronavirus, the largest shopping mall in the metropolis of Casablanca, "Morocco Mall", closed its doors on Wednesday, March 18 at 6 pm, as announced. However, vital services such as the hypermarket and the pharmacy remain operational.
According to a press release from "Morocco Mall", which is the largest shopping mall in Morocco, this closure is part of a process of respecting the new measures decided earlier by the Ministries of the Interior and Health. These call on citizens to "limit movements in public places to absolute necessities, in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19)".
However, "the hypermarket and the pharmacy of the Mall will remain open, in order to maintain the supply of food, care and other essential products and services", assures the management of the center.
Compliance with the hygiene rules dictated by the health authorities will be in effect in these two areas. Despite all these restrictions imposed by the situation, Morocco Mall "thanks all its customers for their trust and understanding and reiterates its full commitment to all the steps taken in the interest of Moroccan citizens".
