Casablanca: finally the Aïn Sebaâ zoo

After major renovation work, the Aïn Sebaâ zoo in Casablanca will be open to the public again as of January 2025. This was announced by Moulay Ahmed Afilal, vice-president of the Casablanca Commune in charge of cleanliness and water.

A delegated manager will be selected to operate the zoo. A call for tenders was launched on February 5, 2024 to choose the company that will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the zoo, as well as its scientific, educational and tourist development. The deadline for submitting bids is set for March 15, 2024, reports Le Matin.

The entrance fee to the zoo has been set at 50 dirhams for adults and 25 dirhams for children. Reduced rates are planned for school groups and families.

The zoo covers an area of 13 hectares and will house more than 45 animal species. It will also offer leisure spaces for families.

The zoo renovation project aims to preserve this historical heritage of the city of Casablanca while offering visitors a modern and educational experience.
