Casablanca Bus Inspectors Thwart Knife-Wielding Robber, Protect Passengers

A passenger on a bus serving line 38R3 was assaulted and robbed of her mobile phone and wallet last Thursday around 5 a.m. on Boulevard Al Aakid Al Allam in Casablanca. Fortunately, the aggressor was intercepted by 3 inspectors who were able to subdue him, before alerting the police.
While apologizing to the assaulted passenger for the damages suffered, Alsa paid tribute to the three inspectors "who showed courage and dedication, and to the monitoring and control services who reported the incident in real time, thus allowing the situation to be brought under control quickly and protecting the bus passengers."
"Alsa would like to remind that all its buses in circulation in Casablanca are equipped with a robust surveillance system, including on-board cameras, control rooms in the various centers connected to the buses in real time, in addition to regular interventions by service technicians at the stops," adds the same source.
Alsa officials deplore such acts, which remain very rare on the lines, and reiterate their commitment to ensuring passenger safety.
