Casablanca Approves Plan to Revitalize Ain Sebaa Zoo

An extraordinary session of the Casablanca City Council was held on Thursday, July 23 at the Wilaya headquarters. Several decisions were made, including the rehabilitation of the Ain Sebaa zoo.
Two flagship topics were discussed during this extraordinary session of the Casablanca City Council, namely the public transport conventions and the rehabilitation of the Ain Sebaa zoo.
In total, 24 items were on the agenda, mainly related to finance, budget, various conventions, urban planning and heritage, reports L’Économiste. The same source specifies that all these points were unanimously adopted, noting that those relating to finance, budget, various conventions, urban planning and heritage were given particular attention.
"After giving their approval for the programming of the budget surplus for the 2019 fiscal year, the elected officials stressed that despite the difficult situation, ’the city was able to generate a surplus of around 150 million dirhams’." Good news no doubt for the Ain Sebaa zoo, as according to the elected officials, this amount will be allocated "to finance part of the investment for the high-level bus lines, engineering structures, and the digital transformation and the zoo."
