Casablanca Airport Eases Security Measures for Smoother Passenger Flow

The National Airports Office (ONDA) will facilitate access to Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport.
Since Wednesday, March 5, 2025, the inspection devices (scanners and metal detectors) will be removed at the entrances of Casablanca’s Mohammed V Airport, in order to allow "smoother circulation and a more comfortable journey for all departing passengers," learns Médias24. This reorganization is a first step towards normalizing access to the airport. As for the access of accompanying persons, no change has been made. It will be authorized later in the year.
This reorganization is in line with ONDA’s "Airport 2030 strategy". This is an ambitious plan on which Morocco is betting to avoid chaos in its airports. It is based on three points: modernizing infrastructure, bringing the customer experience up to international standards, and fundamentally transforming ONDA. The first step will be carried out this year before the holding of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) in Morocco.
