Car Dealerships Implement Safety Measures for Reopening After COVID-19 Shutdown

After cafes, bars and restaurants, deconfinement is being prepared at car dealerships. In this regard, safety measures have been issued by the supervisory ministry and imposed in showrooms.
After a pause of several weeks, Sopriam is busy preparing for the reopening of its showrooms, reports l’Économiste. Like other companies, it has put in place strict safety and hygiene measures, required by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. In this regard, all of its staff have been tested for Covid-19. Pending this measure being generalized to all other private sector companies, some have also had their employees undergo these tests.
Among the exceptional measures introduced at Sopriam, the wearing of masks, visors, gloves for all sales staff in the showrooms and technicians in the after-sales service workshops. They are also equipped with hydroalcoholic gels and made aware of the observance of hygiene measures such as washing their hands every 30 minutes, respecting safety distances and limiting any physical contact with others.
Added to this are the taking of visitors’ temperatures and the provision of hydroalcoholic gel for them. There is also floor marking in the showrooms and after-sales service workshops, with two routes indicating the entrance and exit to avoid any interaction.
On the workshop side, a security system is also in place during the reception, processing or return of vehicles in the after-sales service workshops. In this regard, only the presence of one person at a time will be allowed in front of the counters. Better, a dedicated area will be dedicated to the reception of vehicles and identified with the display of the vehicle disinfection procedure upon arrival with the immediate start of the work.
