Capgemini Expands in Morocco: 2,000 Engineers Hired, 1,500 More Jobs Planned by 2026

Morocco intends to become one of the world’s destinations for technology engineering. To this end, the government signed two memoranda of understanding with Capgemini, an international company specializing in consulting and digital transformation, on Tuesday.

The objective is to put in place the necessary conditions for the training of talents in order to continue to develop engineering and offer all the assets that allow positioning Morocco as a technological destination, reports Aujourd’hui le Maroc.

These agreements should allow the creation of 1,500 additional highly qualified jobs in the engineering sector in the coming years by 2026, explained the Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, present at the signing ceremony.

In this context, effective support and support from the Moroccan state is planned, through the preparation of talents in the fields of industrial engineering and support for the growth of this high value-added sector. This will make it possible to attract more talents who will come to strengthen the 3,000 qualified engineers and scientists who make up the Capgemini Engineering Morocco teams, it is noted.

Since the group’s installation in Morocco in 2007, it has become the largest technology company at the national level. According to the CEO of Capgemini Engineering Morocco, in 2021, its teams were enriched with 800 new talents and this year, 1,100 talents have been recruited.
