CAF Cup Finals Moved to Morocco with New Single-Match Format

After several protests, the Confederation of African Football has finally selected Morocco to host the final matches of the CAF Cup with a new format.
The final matches of the CAF Cup will be played in a single match, instead of the old home-and-away format, according to the African football body. These are the semi-finals Pyramids-Horoya and RSB-HUSA.
These matches are scheduled for September 22 in the cities of Casablanca and Rabat. As for the final, it will be held on September 27 at the Moulay Abdallah Complex in Rabat.
As soon as Morocco was designated as the country to host this competition, Horoya, one of the clubs still in the running, had strongly criticized the choice this week, contesting the neutrality of the venue. He had sent a list of suggestions to CAF.
Unlike the CAF Cup, the Champions League semi-finals (Wydad-Ahly and Raja-Zamalek) will be played in a home-and-away format. The venue for the final will depend on the identity of the finalists, we are told.
