Brussels Airport Braces for Flight Disruptions as Severe Thunderstorms Approach

The airline Brussels Airlines could cancel flights to Morocco due to the bad weather.
The Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) forecasts thunderstorms in Brussels this Friday, reports Belga. "The peak of the storm is expected between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm. We have already taken preventive measures, but if the lightning and wind become too strong, it will have an impact on air traffic," said Brussels Airport spokeswoman Nathalie Pierard, who also recommends that passengers closely monitor the status of their flight on their website.
These bad weather conditions have led Brussels Airlines to cancel five flights as a precaution. This, in consultation with its French and German neighbors. "Our neighboring colleagues have asked us to remove some scheduled flights," "We are doing our best to find a solution for the passengers concerned and to get them to their destination as quickly as possible," said the airline’s spokeswoman, Kim Daenen.
Flights to Morocco could also be canceled.
