British Rapper Fredo Faces Years in Dubai Prison for Alleged Cannabis Possession

The famous British rapper of Moroccan origin Fredo, known for his track "They ain’t 100", was arrested and then detained in a prison in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is accused of having "concealed cannabis".
For some artists, fame rhymes with prison. Three weeks after the release of his first track "They ain’t 100" in 2016, rapper Fredo found himself behind bars. Today, he’s going back. Accused of possessing cannabis, he would have been arrested and then detained in a Dubai prison. He risks a sentence of several years. "The most likely sentence for possession of cannabis would be one to two years in prison, but it could go up to three years," Radha Stirling, CEO of the Detained In Dubai advocacy organization, told The Sun. In addition to a prison sentence, the MC risks at least deportation, a fine and a ban on returning to the United Arab Emirates.
Marvin William Bailey alias Fredo was born on March 6, 1994 in Queen’s Park, London, to a father from Barbados and a mother of English and Moroccan origin. He was expelled from school before passing his GCSE (secondary education). He later decides to embrace music. In March 2016, he releases his first track titled "They ain’t 100". The success is there. Success he savors from prison. On his release, he follows up with "Mixtapes Get Rich Or Get Recalled" (2017) and "Tables Turn" (2018). The success continues for the young prodigy. He was number one in the UK in 2018 for his collaboration with Dave, Funky Friday. The release of his first album Third Avenue on February 1, 2019 confirms Fredo’s talent.
The single All I Ever Wanted by Fredo, taken from the masterpiece, ranks 15th. The one nicknamed the London YG releases two other albums in 2021: Money Can’t Buy Happiness and Independence Day. This year, he reaches the top of the charts thanks to his collaboration with Stormzy. His many successes earn him a lot. He would have an estimated net worth of over £2 million. He also earns a lot of money through his partnership with the training company Kick Game and his streams on Spotify.
