British Parents Face Backlash for Vacationing in Morocco Without Toddler Son

A British couple faces harsh criticism from internet users due to their vacation in Morocco.

Spending a vacation in Morocco with their four-month-old baby, Harry, while leaving George, their two-year-old son, with his grandmother in the United Kingdom. This is the option chosen by Georgia and Chris Brown, two 30-year-old Britons, to offer Harry a peaceful trip and an enjoyable vacation, as they had done with George by traveling with him to Sorrento, Italy. However, this choice is frowned upon by internet users who viewed a video posted on TikTok by Georgia. They labeled them as "bad parents" because of their decision to travel without their son.

"It’s crazy, I didn’t expect it to provoke such a reaction," Georgia marvels. "Many people said we were bad parents, that we shouldn’t be parents, and that we shouldn’t have had a second child." The mother feels compelled to justify this decision. "We wanted to spend one-on-one time with Harry. [...] George’s first vacation was entirely devoted to him, and we wanted to have this experience with Harry," she explained to What’s the Jam.

"When you have a toddler, it’s a very different experience because you’re always watching over him. He runs around like crazy, and his brother often sits in the back seat," she added, emphasizing that the four-month-old baby is often forced to follow his older brother’s routine and that Harry’s life "revolves a lot around" what the toddler does.
