British Mining Firm Secures $6 Million for Moroccan Potash Plant Project

The British mining company Emmerson is active in the construction of its potash plant in Khemisset, in Morocco. It has just secured significant financing.
In a press release, Emmerson Plc announces the signing of a contract with Global Sustainable Minerals Pte Ltd (GSM), a private equity firm, and Gold Quay Capital Pte Ltd (GQC), an investment holding company. In this regard, it has obtained an investment fund of $6 million to develop the potash plant in Khemisset. This fund will be used to complete the basic engineering work.
"I am very pleased with the progress the Emmerson team has made in Khemisset in recent months, in collaboration with our Moroccan partners," said Graham Clarke, CEO of Emmerson, stressing that the potash plant construction project is a world-class project with enormous potential, and that he "looks forward to working with a range of Moroccan partners to take it to the next stage."
"Given the strong interest we have generated from banks and other investors keen to invest in this exciting Moroccan venture, we expect to quickly assemble the full financing package for the construction phase, once the remaining environmental approvals have been received," the official added.
