British Firm Secures Deal to Transport Moroccan Gas via Maghreb-Europe Pipeline

British company Chariot has announced the signing of an agreement with the National Office of Hydrocarbons and Mines (ONHYM) to transport gas from Larache via the Maghreb-Europe (GME) pipeline.
The agreement will secure the transport of gas extracted from the Anchois wells, off the coast of Larache, via the Maghreb-Europe pipeline, the company said in a press release. "The Anchois gas project is a highly strategic project given the continued volatility of global energy markets and its proximity to the GME. We are well positioned to bring the gas online as quickly as possible," said Pierre Raillard, director of Chariot’s Moroccan subsidiary.
For the executive, this agreement is a step towards the realization of the first deliveries of gas from the Anchois field. Chariot announced on July 20 that it had revised upwards the assessment of the gas resources of the Anchois field, after the publication of the exploration results of the recently successfully drilled Anchois-2 well.
