British Airways Resumes Flights to Morocco as Airspace Reopens

Following the reopening of Moroccan airspace on Monday, the British airline British Airways has decided to resume its flights to Morocco as early as this Thursday, February 10, 2022.
British Airways had extended the suspension of its flights to Marrakech until February 10, 2022. After the reopening of Moroccan airspace, the airline has decided to reconnect Heathrow Airport to Marrakech again, starting Thursday, with 5 flights per week, reports the British press. These flights will be offered starting at 59 pounds sterling (round trip), it is specified. The British airline will also resume, as of March 31, its flights from Gatwick Airport to Morocco.
"The British market is extremely important for us. We are today more than ever determined to regain our position and to do everything to develop all the potential of this high value-added market. The United Kingdom is the 4th source market for Morocco, and the 2nd market in terms of overnight stays," said Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), during his meeting in London on February 3 with British air transport and travel players.
