Brazilian Reality TV Star Detained in Morocco After Reported Robbery

Liziane Gutierrez, former candidate of the Brazilian reality TV show "A Fazenda", has been untraceable on social media for a month. The reason for this prolonged absence? The influencer is incarcerated in Morocco following a dispute with the authorities.
Her ex-husband, who was accompanying her to Marrakech, confirmed the news. The couple, now separated, were traveling together when Liziane was arrested.
Shortly before her arrest, Liziane had shared a misadventure on Instagram: she had been the victim of a robbery while on her way to a nightclub. Her luxury bag, her phone and that of her ex-husband had been stolen.
Contacted by the Brazilian media LeoDias, Liziane’s ex-husband explained that he had returned alone to Las Vegas, where he resides. He claims to have made this decision in agreement with the embassy, which is following Liziane’s situation. "There was no forecast of what was going to happen," he said. Despite their separation, the ex-couple, who have a 15-year-old son, remain in contact.
This is not the first time that Liziane Gutierrez has had legal troubles abroad. In 2023, she was detained in Ukraine, unable to communicate due to a lack of English. In 2021, she had been arrested in Las Vegas after an altercation with security guards during a festival.
