Brazil Set to Export Fish to Morocco, Expanding Global Seafood Trade
Brazil plans to soon export fish to Morocco. This is the main point to be retained from a press release from the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
"On Thursday, February 6, Morocco recognized the international health certificate presented by Brazil for the export of fish," the statement said.
"Morocco imported the equivalent of $240 million worth of fish from around the world last year. Brazil could be part of this market," said Jorge Seif Junior, the Brazilian Secretary of Aquaculture and Fisheries.
According to him, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture is looking for new markets, as fish production is increasing every year in the country, and Morocco is particularly interested in squid and shrimp.
