Brawl Erupts at Spanish Migrant Center, Police Intervene

The National Police intervened on Saturday in the Ceuta Migrant Retention Center (CETI), to put an end to a general brawl between residents, mainly of Moroccan origin.
The national police officers, with the help of their local police colleagues, managed to control the incident. No major human or material damage was recorded.
According to the agents who permanently ensure the security of the CETI, the incident follows disagreements between residents of the center. Fortunately, it did not escalate thanks to the presence of the police units that quickly arrived on the scene.
Nearly 200 migrants from the Maghreb and in particular from Morocco are staying at the CETI. Most of them are asylum seekers. They are only a part of the immigration candidates present in Ceuta, the others, mostly Sub-Saharans, wandering in the streets.
