New Book Explores Morocco Under King Mohammed VI’s Reign

A new book on the King of Morocco. Its title, "The King: the Morocco of Mohammed VI", is a work co-written by the President of the Paris School of Journalism, Guillaume Jobin, and the journalist Valérie Morales-Attias, a columnist for the monthly magazine, Maroc diplomatique.
"The King: the Morocco of Mohammed VI" is anything but a portrait of the King or a review of his actions at the head of the Kingdom. It is the result of extensive research by two authors who have lived in Morocco for a long time and who present, in the 260-page work, lived situations and testimonies.
"We have tried to draw a fair and balanced portrait of the country, as objectively as possible," says Guillaume Jobin on the difficulties, but also on the many Moroccan successes. Among other things, he declared on leprogres.fr the weight of Morocco at the diplomatic level.
Even if the work is not exclusively devoted to King Mohammed VI, he is nevertheless presented as "the most progressive of all the current leaders of Muslim countries". A sovereign of a complex kingdom, we can read there.
According to the website, the authors have lifted a corner of the veil on the real authors of an attempted boycott in 2018 of yogurt brands and a mineral water.
