Booba Taunts Gims Over New Single’s Poor Spotify Performance

French rapper Booba is not letting go of Congolese singer Gims. He continues his campaign of denigration, mocking the latest single featuring Spanish-Moroccan rapper Morad.
Booba closely followed the release of "Seya", a collaboration between Gims and Spanish-Moroccan rapper Morad, unveiled on October 6, 2023. The track flopped in the weekly Singles top on Spotify, ranking 177th. Enough to delight the Duke of Boulogne. On X (formerly Twitter), he mocks his Parisian rival. "Gims, a resounding entry at 177th place! Bravo," Booba laughs. For now, the Congolese rapper has not responded to his assailant.
"Seya" may have flopped in the weekly top on Spotify, but it is still a hit on YouTube. The video has racked up 2.7 million views in just 10 days and ranks second in the music trends on the platform. The song also exceeds 2.5 million streams on the streaming app.
In September, Gims was the most listened to French-speaking rapper in France on Spotify with 9.1 million monthly listeners.
