Bolle Jos cocaine trafficker Sierra Leone president son-in-law

Nicknamed "Bolle Jos", the 35-year-old Dutchman has accumulated multiple convictions for drug trafficking. He notably received a seven-year prison sentence in Belgium in a case involving the importation of 11 tonnes of cocaine, in addition to heavy sentences handed down in the Netherlands.

According to Le Monde, he is currently in Freetown, where he has started a family with Agnes Bio, the daughter of Sierra Leonean president Julius Maada Bio. European services suspect him of continuing to oversee a major cocaine route from West Africa.

Two Moroccan women in his wake

Leijdekkers’ name first appears in the investigation into the disappearance of Naima Jillal, a Moroccan trafficker nicknamed "Auntie", abducted in Amsterdam in 2019. Dutch police had mentioned his possible role in this case. Naima Jillal has never been found.

His former partner, Hanane X., of Moroccan origin, also accuses him of holding back their 10-year-old son Liam in Sierra Leone. Settled with two other children in a Middle Eastern country, she has called on Dutch authorities to intervene.

The Hague has requested the extradition of the fugitive, without success. The Netherlands has neither an embassy in Freetown nor a judicial cooperation agreement with Sierra Leone. Meanwhile, images have shown "Bolle Jos" in the capital, notably alongside local drug enforcement and immigration officials.
