Body of Moroccan Migrant Recovered Off Coast of Ceuta, Spain

The Civil Guard of Ceuta recovered, on Friday, August 2, 2019, a Moroccan in the waters near the cliffs of the southern coast of the autonomous city. The autopsy reveals that the body of this man, in an advanced state of decomposition, has been at sea for a week.
This human presence, in the open sea, was reported by the owner of a pleasure boat sailing around the El Desnarigado beach, about five kilometers from the border with Morocco, indicates lavanguardia.com.
Immediately, the Civil Guard mobilized one of its ships to recover the body. It was transferred to the maritime services base in Ceuta, where judicial authorities proceeded to its final lifting.
According to the same source, the unfortunate man must have ended his journey at sea while trying to reach Spanish territory by swimming. Almost a month earlier, another body had been recovered under similar conditions near the Tarajal breakwater. However, the latter would have been confronted with the prevailing currents in the area.
