Bill Clinton Draws Crowds During Surprise Visit to Marrakech’s Famous Square

Bill Clinton’s visit to Jemaa El Fna square last Friday aroused great curiosity among Marrakchis who came out in large numbers, creating a crowd around the former President of the United States.
Bill Clinton greatly appreciated the popular atmosphere of the ochre city and delighted in the beautiful spectacle offered by the snake charmers, without however venturing to caress the famous reptiles, notes the site Article19.ma.
To caricature this outing of the illustrious guest, a netizen from the ochre city cynically recalled that the former Democratic President likes animals but nevertheless fears snake bites and this has nothing to do with the sad adventure he experienced when he was in office as the 42nd President of the United States between 1993 and 2001.
Bill Clinton is not on his first visit to Morocco. However, this time, his arrival is part of an invitation to attend the birthday of Marc Lasry, a Moroccan-American billionaire.
The former President of the United States was not insensitive to the warm welcome of the Marrakchis, to the craftsmanship and the works exhibited in the old Medina, but also to the irresistible charm of this city which has always seduced personalities from around the world who arrive there in all seasons.
According to the same source, this surprise visit, which is a source of pride for the city, is also a good publicity stunt for this ochre city.
