Biden Deletes Tweet with Controversial Morocco Map Amid Vaccine Diplomacy

The American president has just put an end to a controversy. He had posted a tweet to congratulate himself on the donation of more than 110 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine that the United States has sent to 60 countries around the world. Morocco, which is one of the beneficiary countries, received 300,000 of them. The only false note in the tweet posted by Joe Biden was a light blue map of Morocco without the Sahara.

On the web, the publication was the subject of trolling. In a dispatch, the Algerian press agency APS notes that the Biden administration has not yet taken a position on the American recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara acquired under the governance of Donald Trump.
