Biden Deletes Tweet with Controversial Morocco Map Amid Vaccine Diplomacy

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has decided to delete a tweet containing a non-compliant map of Morocco. In this tweet, the kingdom was cited among the countries that received doses of the Janssen Covid-19 vaccine developed by the Johnson & Johnson laboratory.
The American president has just put an end to a controversy. He had posted a tweet to congratulate himself on the donation of more than 110 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine that the United States has sent to 60 countries around the world. Morocco, which is one of the beneficiary countries, received 300,000 of them. The only false note in the tweet posted by Joe Biden was a light blue map of Morocco without the Sahara.
On the web, the publication was the subject of trolling. In a dispatch, the Algerian press agency APS notes that the Biden administration has not yet taken a position on the American recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara acquired under the governance of Donald Trump. Yet the United States has repeatedly stated that they would not call into question the Moroccanness of the Sahara. Moreover, they have adopted the new map of the kingdom integrating the Sahara.
Faced with the controversy, the American president deleted the tweet in question, reports Le Desk. In the section devoted to American vaccine donations around the world, the State Department has published the map of the kingdom visible on the website of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). A map integrating the Sahara.
