The best Moroccan students from French grandes écoles are leaving France

Moroccan students have been shining in prestigious French grandes écoles for decades. They dominate the student body of French engineering schools with more than 6,000 enrolled, ranking among the top ten nationalities in doctoral programs in science. They impress with their academic results. At the École Polytechnique Paris alone, 24 Moroccan students were admitted in 2025. According to the prestigious school, these figures "confirm the excellent results of Moroccan students in the entrance exams". These Moroccan graduates constitute a pool of talent that benefits both France and Morocco. Many young Moroccan professionals trained in France wish to return to Morocco, motivated by its growing economic attractiveness and its strategic position in Africa and the world. "We are witnessing an unprecedented enthusiasm, which is reflected in the strong participation in the forums and conferences we organize, as well as in the daily requests for information," said Karim Basrire, an entrepreneur and strategy consultant based between Paris and Rabat.

He describes a highly qualified diaspora, eager to contribute to the development of Morocco. For Malak Komairi, president of Forum Horizons Maroc in Paris - a major job fair for Morocco - this enthusiasm is explained by the fact that "Morocco is attracting more and more people thanks to an excellent quality of life, very attractive salaries and a particularly favorable price-quality ratio".
