Benin Seeks Extradition of French Suspect in Major Cocaine Bust at Cotonou Port

The Beninese authorities have just made a request for extradition to Morocco following the arrest of a Frenchman involved in a case of 145 kg of cocaine found in a container of sugar at the port of Cotonou.
For the needs of the ongoing investigation, the results of which have sent many people to prison, Benin is awaiting the extradition of the French national suspect from Morocco. The request for extradition has been prepared and sent by the Minister of Justice and Legislation and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The operation that led to the arrest was carried out by elements of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). The accused would be the importer of the 20 containers of sugar, one of which contained cocaine.
