Benfica’s Adel Taarabt Nears Move to Saudi Club Al Nassr

Pushed towards the exit by Benfica Lisbon, Moroccan international Adel Taarabt is close to a transfer to Saudi Arabia. The player would have an offer from Al Nassr.
Taarabt is not part of Benfica’s new squad, as has been the case for several months. The club has not hidden its desire to sell him, as his contract runs until June 2023. The transfer fee is set at 2.5 million euros.
According to Nabil Djellit, a journalist at L’Équipe, the 33-year-old player is heading to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. Ambitious, this club coached by former Roma coach Rudi Garcia has attached this summer the services of experienced players, such as goalkeeper David Ospina and central defender Luiz Gustavo.
The player trained at Lens, and who has played in the English, Italian and Portuguese championships, could thus, for the first time, pursue his career outside Europe.
