Belgian Soccer Player Sofian Kiyine Survives High-Speed Car Crash into Gymnasium

The Moroccan international midfielder, Sofian Kiyine, playing for the Belgian club of OH Louvain, was the victim of a terrible road accident in Belgium. According to an official statement published by his club, he would currently be out of danger, despite several fractures.
Witnesses to the accident described a dramatic scene: the Belgian-Moroccan player was driving at a speed exceeding 200 km/h on a section of road limited to 90 km/h. His car violently hit a roundabout before ending up in a gymnasium.
Sofian Kiyine was immediately hospitalized and suffers from multiple fractures, but, according to his club, his life is not in danger. Despite the violence of the impact, the player is the sole victim of this tragic accident. "Sofian was very lucky. We are aware that it could have been much worse," said the CEO of OH Louvain.
The club is now awaiting more information on the exact circumstances of the accident. Sofian Kiyine has played 22 matches in all competitions with his club since his arrival from Italy last summer.
