Belgian Royal Family Welcomes Franco-Moroccan Fiancé as Princess Maria Laura’s Wedding Approaches

After their engagement, Princess Maria Laura of Belgium and her Franco-Moroccan prince charming William Isvy will soon be married. Prince Lorenz and Princess Astrid, who are eager to experience this event, are full of praise for their future son-in-law.
The wedding of Princess Maria Laura and William Isvy will be celebrated on September 10 at the Brussels City Hall, where Prince Lorenz and Princess Astrid said "yes" on September 22, 1984. The Archbishop of Malines-Brussels, Mgr Jozef de Kesel, will celebrate the religious wedding in front of 500 guests, reports Paris Match. Prince Lorenz and Princess Astrid are eagerly awaiting the wedding of their second child.
In the meantime, the parents of Princess Maria Laura have highlighted the qualities of their future son-in-law, whom they met for the first time a year ago in Basel, Switzerland. "I immediately got along well with him," said Archduke Lorenz. "William has many similarities with Maria Laura’s father, Lorenz. And my daughter has always admired her father," Princess Astrid said on Friday during a press conference in the Cathedral of Saints-Michel-et-Gudule, in the heart of Brussels. "He is like a son to us," she added. "Almost," joked Prince Lorenz. They described their future son-in-law as courageous, hardworking, athletic, determined and with a good sense of humor.
