Belgian Police Arrest Alleged Drug Kingpin's Right-Hand Man in Antwerp Raid

The Antwerp judicial police arrested on Tuesday Soufian T., alias "Burgemeester", the alleged right-hand man of Nasserdine "Nadori" T., a fugitive criminal, during searches carried out as part of an investigation into the criminal organization of which the latter was a member.

Soufian "Burgemeester" T., 27 years old, was arrested with two other men, during searches carried out by investigators in seven locations in Borgerhout and Antwerp, where the family of Nasserdine "Nadori" T., 35 years old, owns several houses and businesses that the latter would use for his cocaine trafficking. They are suspected of being involved in cocaine trafficking and money laundering from this traffic. The three suspects were presented to the investigating judge who ordered their provisional detention, pending their appearance on Friday before the council chamber.

Soufian T.’s lawyer, Tim Smet, refused to comment on the arrest. The evidence incriminating the alleged right-hand man of Nasserdine "Nadori" T. would come from the hacked Sky ECC messages. The young man had been sentenced in 2018 to community service for drug trafficking. He was recently targeted in an explosive attack in a residential building on Lodewijk Van Berckenlaan. It was then that the police installed a camera in front of his official address, just outside the Ring in Borgerhout.

As for Nadori, he was a member of the Turtles, a Dutch criminal gang that had made headlines in 2012 due to the disappearance of a 200 kg lot of cocaine. After a failed assassination attempt against him, Nadori took refuge in Morocco. Last year, he was sentenced in absentia to five years in prison as part of the Mixers case. The criminal, still wanted, would currently be in Dubai.
