Belgian Mosques Welcome Moroccan Imams for Ramadan Amid Local Shortage

While hundreds of Moroccan imams and morchidates have been sent around the world to provide religious supervision and officiate at prayers during the month of Ramadan in countries other than Morocco, the Executive of Muslims of Belgium (EMB) shares its... Positive impressions!
Thus the EMB (the representative body of the Islamic faith in Belgium) specifies that several Belgian mosques are themselves requesting the invitation of these Moroccan imams and morchidates. In a statement from the EMB, published on its website, the reason given is: "the number of imams present in Belgium is insufficient to meet the expectations of the Muslim community during this month charged with spirituality."
The EMB describes these imams and morchidates as "people, mostly of university level, trained and prepared to speak in a European context." Their contribution is beyond doubt: "the content of their interventions focuses on common values and living together."
As for the Muslims of Belgium, according to the EMB: "Belgian citizens of the Muslim faith have always welcomed the spiritual support provided by these imams." It should be noted that 81 imams and morchidates landed in Brussels this Sunday to officiate at prayers and provide religious supervision for Moroccan expatriates in Belgium during Ramadan.
