Belgian-Moroccan Faces Trial for False Bomb Threat at Fez Airport

The trial of the Moroccan residing in Belgium, arrested, placed in custody, then incarcerated in the Bourkaiz prison after a false bomb alert at the Fez-Saïss airport, will open next week before the criminal chamber of first instance.
It’s getting complicated for the Belgian-Moroccan. He will be tried next Monday before the criminal chamber of first instance of Fez for aircraft hijacking, aircraft and air navigation facility destruction, as well as obstruction of aircraft traffic. Meanwhile, he is incarcerated in the Bourkaiz prison after being brought before the chamber by the public prosecutor, who exercised his legal powers under Article 73 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The Attorney General of the King at the Court of Appeal of Fez ordered the detention of this Moroccan working in Belgium following an altercation between an airport employee in Fez-Saïss and him, and a false bomb alert at the airport. While he wanted to travel to Belgium, this man from the province of Taza arrived late at the airport last Sunday. Prevented from accessing the runway, he gets angry. An altercation ensues between an airport employee and him. Determined to leave anyway, he invents the presence of a bomb on the plane to be able to enter the airport. No explosive device is ultimately found.
