Belgian Man Fights to Save Moroccan Puppies from Deportation or Euthanasia

While his puppies are threatened with deportation to Morocco or euthanasia, a Belgian is fighting to keep them with him in Ans. He has just filed an emergency appeal with the Council of State.
Two Moroccan puppies soon to be deported to Morocco? Osteopath Benoît Malherbe from Ans, who is their owner, has, through his lawyer, filed an appeal with the Council of State. A hearing should be held next week. For now, the animals are in Ans in a confined space in Benoît’s garden. "A space that I have doubly fenced and I carefully collect their droppings with gloves to prevent other animals (foxes...) from coming into contact with these droppings. This quarantine or confinement of the puppies will continue for another two months since it has been almost four months since they arrived in Ans," he specifies to SudInfo.
It was a Moroccan lady who had sold the shepherd puppies to the Ans osteopath. The latter had bought them for his daughter’s birthday. The only problem: the animals arrived illegally in Belgium and are not vaccinated against rabies, which Benoît did not know. Until now, the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (AFSCA) has not been able to find a solution for the future
