Belgian ’Islamophobic Attack’ on Muslim Family Revealed as Prank, No Charges Filed

The Islamophobic attack in Lierneux, Belgium, last August was a hoax. This is what the investigation into this case reveals. No offense, no legal proceedings.
Three masked assailants had terrorized a Muslim family from Brussels in August 2020 in Lierneux. Animal entrails, blood-covered crucifixes. Enough to frighten the victims. After the attack, a complaint had been filed and an investigation had been opened. The investigators discovered that the attackers were not far-right militants, but pranksters.
The case is still worrying. "The lady is the sister of a former prisoner in Morocco (NDLR: Ali aarass), tortured to obtain his confession and imprisoned for twelve years for Islamist terrorism - while the Spanish justice system had acquitted him," reports RTBF.
The attackers of her sister in Lierneux are not involved in this case. The three men armed with offal and crucifixes are close jokers whose inspiration leaves something to be desired. Are they friends, acquaintances, or even family members? The justice system has not yet provided any details. "There is no offense, so no legal proceedings," due to the lack of intent to harm.
