Belgian Cyclist Evenepoel Clinches Double Olympic Gold, Wife’s Thoughtful Gesture Captures Historic Moment

Belgian cyclist Remco Evenepoel won the road race at the Paris Olympics on Saturday, after his gold medal in the time trial. His wife, Oumaïma "Oumi" Rayane, had the ingenious idea to bring him the first gold medal, which allowed the cyclist to take photos with the two gold medals around his neck.
Oumi apparently had no doubt about the outcome of the road race. She expected her husband’s victory and planned to mark this moment in a special way. After the gold medal ceremony for Remco, the Moroccan woman handed him his first gold medal won in the time trial, allowing him to take photos with the two medals around his neck at the Eiffel Tower.
"Fortunately she thought to bring it to Paris. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to take these beautiful photos with the two medals. It was her idea.
