Belgian Airport Strike Threatens Morocco-Belgium Flights, Disrupts Travel Plans

Many flights between Morocco and Belgium could be canceled due to a nationwide strike at Belgian airports.
Tuesday, October 1st will be a difficult day for travelers. Indeed, "all flights departing from Brussels Airport (Brussels-Zaventem) are canceled, while Charleroi-Brussels South Airport will operate at 30% of its capacity, due to a national day of union action in Belgium," reports Air Journal. In a message posted on its website, the airport confirms: "To ensure the safety of passengers and staff, the airlines, in consultation with Brussels Airport, will not operate any passenger flights departing on October 1st. The airlines are directly informing passengers of the cancellation of their flights."
Passengers are asked not to go to the airport on Tuesday. This situation will affect 50,000 passengers, estimates the daily Le Soir. As for arriving flights, "cancellations are likely," the Brussels airport said. The latter advises all passengers planning to land at Brussels Airport on October 1st to check the status of their flight with their airline.
