Belgian actor arrested Marrakech 100000 euro bounty drug baron

The career of the ex-actor from the series "Crimi Clowns," nicknamed "Glamourboy," came to an abrupt halt in the ochre city. Wanted by his country’s justice system, the man had fled Belgium in 2018 when the drug underworld put a price on his head for 100,000 euros. He was then accused of stealing 120 kilograms of cocaine. Before his departure, his noodle restaurant had been shot at and his car was set on fire in front of his home. Sentenced on appeal to 52 months in prison and a fine of 18,000 euros in the "Makreel" case, he had settled in Morocco to escape settling of scores.

This arrest was made in connection with that of another major figure in cocaine trafficking in Antwerp, Abdelilah El Messaoudi, alias "Black." The latter, on the run for ten years after escaping from Turkey, must serve a total of 34 years in prison in Belgium. Holding Moroccan nationality, he thought he could avoid jail since the State does not extradite its own nationals. However, Moroccan authorities plan to directly execute the sentences handed down against him in Europe. According to revelations shared by the Gazet van Antwerpen, this crackdown is part of a vast operation targeting around twenty priority targets.
