BBC’s ’Celebrity Race Across The World’ Kicks Off in Marrakech, Spans 10,000 km to Arctic Norway

The BBC has revealed the stars participating in the celebrity race around the world, with the starting point in Marrakech. They will have to cover more than 10,000 km.
Presenter Alex Beresford and his father, English singer Melanie Blatt and her mother Helene, McFly drummer Harry Judd and his mother Emma, and British racing driver Billy Monger and his sister Bonny will participate in the celebrity version of Race Across The World, a BBC show produced by Studio Lambert. The Celebrity Race Across The World peloton will set off from Marrakech (Morocco), to reach Tromsø, Norway, known as the capital of the Arctic. The participants in this epic journey will cross 24 countries and cover more than 10,000 km. From the ochre city to the ports and beaches of the Mediterranean, through incomparable historic and cosmopolitan cities, the powerful Alps, the unexplored Central Europe, the fairy-tale Baltic states and the snowy Scandinavia, the four celebrities and their race partners will run to the finish line thousands of kilometers away, without resorting to air travel, reports the British site TV Zone.
In this six-episode version of the series, they will travel without credit cards, smartphones, or internet access. They will only have the cash equivalent of a flight to their final destination. They will have to earn additional money along the way and call on the kindness of strangers to help them progress. The runners say they are looking forward to this experience. "I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to do something we’ve never done before. None of us have ever hiked, so it’s a new experience. And then it’s also a chance to see incredible places! We’re crossing continents and countries, and we’re seeing everything at ground level,
