Bayern Munich Signs Moroccan Prodigy Adam Aznou to First Professional Contract
Moroccan international Adam Aznou signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich on Wednesday, May 15. This is the first professional contract for the Atlas Lion cub who has been playing in the lower categories of the Bavarian club since July 2022.
Aznou joined Bavaria in the summer of 2022 from La Masia, FC Barcelona’s academy. For almost two years now, the Moroccan prodigy has been thriving with Bayern Munich’s U19s. This season, the Atlas Lion cub has scored three goals and provided six assists in 34 games. The Moroccan winger has already been called up to the senior team five times this year, before signing his first professional contract with the Bavarian club until 2027 on Wednesday.
Fast and very technical, Aznou is destined for a bright future. The Moroccan international had expressed his disappointment at not being called up by Saïd Chiba for the U17 World Cup in Indonesia 2023. The Atlas Lion cubs were eliminated in the quarter-finals of this competition against Mali (1-0). On the other hand, Tarik Sektioui called the 18-year-old player for the last gathering of the Moroccan U23s in March. He could take part in the Paris Olympics this summer.
