Bayern Munich Edges Out Barcelona in Race to Sign Ajax Star Mazraoui
In the battle to secure the services of Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui, it is Bayern Munich that is taking the lead over the strong competition around the star of Ajax Amsterdam, whose contract expires in June.
Noussair Mazraoui was on FC Barcelona’s radar long before the 2022/2023 transfer window. The Spanish club made a generous contract offer to the 24-year-old player. An offer similar to those offered to Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessie, two players who will be free of any commitment this summer like the Moroccan international. But Bayern Munich’s interest in the Ajax star could ruin the Catalan club’s efforts.
The German club is on the verge of concluding an agreement to sign Noussair Mazraoui, reports Marca.com. In this case, Barcelona could secure the services of Spanish international Cesar Azpilucueta, the Chelsea right-back with whom the club has already had discussions.
