In this sense, "during a meeting with Zakia Driouch, Secretary General of the Fisheries Department at the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Forests, the Basque delegation, led by Maria Tato, expressed its willingness to develop cooperation between Morocco and the Basque Country, particularly in the sector of processing and enhancing fishery products and that of recycling plastic from fishing".
This is an opportunity for the two parties to discuss all the possibilities for collaboration, in particular, in the fishing sector, said Zakia Driouch, specifying that the activities of recycling fishing waste represent an opening that the two countries will be able to develop "quickly", not forgetting that the new national fisheries strategy, "in the process of being finalized", makes sustainability and environmental protection priorities.
