Morocco Approves Fishing Cooperation Agreement with Russia

Five draft laws relating to international agreements were unanimously validated by the House of Representatives in plenary session this week. Among them is the cooperation agreement with Russia aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the field of fisheries.
These agreements, presented by the Delegate Minister in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad, Nezha El Ouafi, are part of Morocco’s strategic guidelines and aim to strengthen and diversify cooperation in the diplomatic, political, economic, social and environmental fields, says a statement from the Chamber.
Thus, this document mentions the draft law approving the cooperation agreement with Russia signed on September 14, 2020 in Rabat and October 14, 2020 in Moscow, in the fields of sea fishing, the fishing economy and related sectors.
The document also mentions the draft law approving the convention on judicial assistance in civil and commercial matters between the Kingdom and Ukraine, signed in Marrakech on October 21, 2019, and the draft law approving the convention on the transfer of sentenced persons, also signed in Marrakech on October 21, 2019.
The draft law approving the agreement between the Moroccan government and the United Nations relates to the establishment in the Moroccan capital of the Office of the Counter-Terrorism and Training Program in Africa of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, signed on October 6, 2020.
