Barcelona Youth Star Ismaël Ziani Chooses Morocco Over Spain for International Career

Ismaël Ziani, the rising star of La Masia and striker of Barça’s Cadet B, has just turned his back on Spain by choosing Morocco as his sporting nationality.
Born in Sant Celoni (Catalonia), of Moroccan origin through his father, Ziani has just joined the Moroccan national team. The young prodigy brings a touch of freshness and originality, explains Sport.es. His debut this season has not escaped the attention of Moroccan football officials, who quickly seized the opportunity to integrate him into their ranks.
Isma, as he is called in Spain, will represent Morocco in the under-15s. Between December 11 and 18, he will play friendly matches, strengthening a selection composed of players born in 2008. Despite his young age, as he was born in 2009, Ziani impresses with his maturity on the field, combining physical power and technical finesse.
Ziani’s international adventure does not leave the Spanish Football Federation indifferent, which keeps a close eye on his performances. Under the direction of coach David Sánchez, Isma has shone in the Cadet B, with five goals in ten matches. But beyond his efficiency in front of goal, it is his vision of the game and his ability to provide decisive passes that set him apart, making him a player to watch.
