Barcelona’s Teenage Sensation Yamal Scores in 4-0 Champions League Rout of Dortmund

Lamine Yamal, the Moroccan-origin prodigy of Barça, has once again seduced this Wednesday by scoring a goal against Borussia Dortmund (4-0) in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.
FC Barcelona won 4-0 at home against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday thanks to goals from strikers Raphinha, Lewandowski and Yamal. The 17-year-old player scored the fourth goal of the match in the 77th minute, sealing the victory of the Barcelona club.
The Spanish striker has been chaining precocity records since April 2023 where, at 15 years and 290 days, he made his first appearance with the Barça first team. Yamal had played 10 minutes against Real Betis in La Liga, becoming the youngest player to make his debut in the Spanish championship.
His remarkable performances with the Blaugrana have attracted the attention of the Spanish federation, which has managed to convince him to join La Roja, to the detriment of Morocco. On September 8, 2023, Yamal scored his first goal against Georgia (7-1), becoming at 16 years and 57 days the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Spanish national team.
The Spanish striker was also the star of Euro 2024. Yamal was one of the architects of Spain’s victory over France in the semi-finals of the tournament. The 2024 Kopa Trophy winner has scored 13 goals and provided 19 assists in 42 games this season in all competitions.
