Barcelona’s Rising Star Lamine Yamal Set for Moroccan Showcase in Potential Wydad Casablanca Friendly

A project for a friendly match between Wydad Casablanca and FC Barcelona is being studied. The match would take place in Casablanca and would involve the participation of the young FC Barcelona player, Lamine Yamal.
According to the daily Mundo Deportivo, the Moroccan club would like to organize this event around July 20, as part of its preparation for the 2025-2026 season. This approach is a continuation of a previous attempt to organize a match with Cristiano Ronaldo.
For the Catalan club, this match would fit into its pre-season preparation. According to the available information, the team would make a round trip on the same day for 2 million euros. This trip to Morocco would precede a planned tour in Asia, particularly in Japan and South Korea.
The holding of this match would depend on the final decision of the Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick. If the project was validated, it would allow the Moroccan public to see the evolution of Lamine Yamal, 17 years old, whose father is of Moroccan origin. The initiative remains at the proposal stage for the moment, pending confirmation from the two clubs.
